About

Don is currently a Commissioning Manager (Long Term Conditions) for South East London ICB, leading on diabetes and obesity. Previously, he led on diabetes transformation for the Health Innovation Network from 2017-2020.
Prior to working for the NHS, Don was the Founder and Director of the Alcohol Health Network, social enterprise set up in 2012, which supports employers and Public Health teams to reduce alcohol harm by promoting alcohol awareness in the workplace and local communities.
Don has over 20 years’ experience in the alcohol harm reduction sector as a Senior Manager, Government advisor and addictions counsellor. Don led the national charity Alcohol Concern as their CEO from 2008-11 and was its Director of Policy from 2005-08. Prior to this, he worked in substance misuse services as an alcohol and drugs counsellor. Don became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health in 2013
