About

Prof. Gideon Mlawa MD MRCPUK, SCE graduated in Trakia University Bulgaria. He further specialised in Endocrinology & Diabetes/General Internal Medicine in UK with both the Wessex and London Deaneries.

His current role is Consultant Physician in Diabetes and Endocrinology/General Internal Medicine at Queens Hospital Romford in London. He is the training programme director for internal Medicine trainees both at Queen`s Hospital and King George Hospital and currently a clinical lead in acute medicine. He is also one of the founding members of Tanzania UK Healthcare Diaspora Association(TUHEDA) and interim treasurer.

His special interest include: Diabetes in pregnancy, Diabetes and Technology including Insulin pumps, thyroid disorders as well as pituitary disorders.
