About

Hibbah is a public health nutrition academic with specialist research interests in dietary behaviours and behaviour change interventions for people of African and Caribbean origin, with about 16 years of research experience working in Ghana, Kenya and with African and Caribbean communities in Europe. She has expertise in qualitative research methodologies, systematic reviews, co-production and working with ethnic minority communities. She has contributed to the nutrition evidence-base on ethnic minority populations through several scientific publications, conference presentations and public engagement events. Hibbah is the Co-Chair of the Nutrition Society’s Special interest group on Diet and Health of ethnic minority groups in the UK https://www.nutritionsociety.org/diet-and-health-ethnic-minority-groups . Hibbah takes pleasure in translating and sharing relevant evidence-based nutrition information with various African and Caribbean immigrant groups in the UK.
