Consultant urological surgeon
Professor Francis Chinegwundoh MBE has received expert training in London and the West Midlands, as well as international training from the USA. He has a breadth of knowledge in urology, allowing him to treat emergency and elective urology patients. His interests focus on urological oncology, erectile dysfunction, incontinence, sexual dysfunction, and the prostate. Prof Chinegwundoh is the regional lead for prostate brachytherapy and is currently leading a major study examining prostate cancer. He contributes to medical education by being on the selection panel for medical school entry. He holds the positions of chairman of the charity Black Care and trustee of the National Federation of Prostate Cancer Support Groups (Tackle). Prof Chinegwundoh actively engages in research having regularly published within the medical and surgical press. He was awarded an MBE in 2013 for his work and dedication to urology and the NHS, being one of the only urologists to be awarded this.
