About

Elizabeth is a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Throughout her career, she has taken on various managerial and leadership roles and has been instrumental in establishing several specialist diabetes clinics in Barnsley. With a strong interest and expertise in excess weight management, Elizabeth independently developed and now operates a specialized weight management clinic at Barnsley Hospital in partnership with nearby bariatric surgery centres. This clinic addresses a wide spectrum of weight-related issues, from moderate to severe, including Diabesity, and offers comprehensive services across all four tiers of weight management. She is currently the Clinical Lead for Diabetes Prevention, Treatment, and Care for the South Yorkshire ICB. Elizabeth is deeply committed to diabetes prevention, advancing integrated diabetes care, and ensuring equitable access to diabetes treatment. She is a Diabetes UK Clinical Champion.
