Michael Bracchi

Member of the Diabetes Africa Data Collection Chamber

I developed a passion for science at a young age which eventually led me to complete a PhD in chemistry at Newcastle University. Following my time in academic research, I transitioned into the world of data analytics, Data Visualization was of particular interest to me as I viewed this discipline as a route through which to continue improving in what I loved most about scientific research: Understanding and communicating insights through data. I have worked with Engage in Health for just over a year, providing data visualization solutions for the Pharmaceutical industry and providing bespoke healthcare marketing analytics to help companies optimize their marketing approach.

I have a passion for solving problems in healthcare using data and believe that the contribution from data analytics to this field is in its infancy, I first became interested in Diabetes Africa’s work after Engage supported in implementing a digital marketing campaign, this led us (data team) to inquire further into the great work Bernadette and her team are doing and how we could get involved. We are excited to ramp up our contribution into this year. In my spare time, I am a nut for all things music and probably qualify as a pop science geek!
