Dr Williams is a GP with specialist interest in Medical Education, Research, Minor Surgery, Family planning and Diabetes for over 20 years. She has been involved in the delivery of Diabetes care at Primary, Secondary and Community teams in the London Borough of Hounslow.
She led the first Intermediate Diabetes clinic in Hounslow in 2004 and continued her work in Postgraduate diabetes training including delivering General practice training, Local lecture series updates on Diabetes to General Practice colleagues, Warwick certificate of Diabetes Care, Insulin for Life and the Merit course. She is a Hounslow Clinical research lead for the National Institute of Research participating in a wide range of community based clinical studies and has a been Principal Investigator in Insulin and GLP 1 phase three and post marketing Trials.
She is currently a Principal Investigator on a GLP 1 real life study and is the Finance and Diabetes Lead in Chiswick Primary Care Network. The Model for the delivery of care changed during the Covid Pandemic from Face to Face Consulting to Remote Consulting with the use of technology which has spurred her interest into developing a framework suited to Good Medical practice that is safe and effective for patients and clinicians and delivered as the “PRIME” Postgraduate certificate from Swansea University.
